Biography

Athanassios Economou is a professor of architecture at the College of Design at Georgia Institute of Technology, where he serves as the Director of the Shape Computation Lab. His research focuses on shape grammars, computational design, formal specification style, computer-aided design, and design theory. Economou has authored forty published papers and has overseen several funded projects, including the Shape Machine and Courtsweb initiatives.
