Athirah Bakhtiar obtained her undergraduate degree in pharmacy (BPharm (Hons)) from the International Medical University and earned her doctoral degree from Monash University, completing her PhD in 2016. In addition to her laboratory research, Athirah is keen on clinical studies related to medication safety and promoting safe prescribing and dispensing within healthcare organizations. She's a full-registered pharmacist in Malaysia and is actively involved in several professional societies.
