Dr. Aude Chapuis

Biography

Aude Chapuis is an Associate Professor at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in the Translational Science Therapeutics Division. She is a leading expert in blood stem cell transplantation and immunotherapy, focusing on the development of new immunotherapies that utilize T cells to detect and destroy diseased cells. Dr. Chapuis' research laboratory investigates factors that make T cell therapy successful and uses this knowledge to develop safer and more effective immunotherapies. Her ongoing projects include advancing T cell therapies for patients with leukemias and solid tumors, including melanoma and Merkel cell carcinoma. Dr. Chapuis also collaborates on clinical trials aimed at enhancing T cell function and developing TCR-engineered therapies targeting specific antigens in cancer treatments. She has played an instrumental role in the optimization of clinically applicable methods for TCR gene transfer to T cells, particularly focusing on antigens commonly expressed in myeloid leukemias. Dr. Chapuis' clinical expertise includes managing patients undergoing autologous and allogeneic transplants, as well as overseeing immunotherapy trials.
