Dr. Audra Ong

Biography

Audra Ong is a Professor of Accounting at the Odette School of Business, University of Windsor, specializing in Accounting Education, Corporate Governance, and Financial Reporting. She earned her Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of West of England in 2000, after receiving her M.B.A. from the University of Wales in 1992 and a B.A. in Accounting (Honours) from Queen's University of Belfast in 1990. Professor Ong is an active member of several professional organizations including the Association of International Accountants and the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators. Her research interests center on understanding the complexities of accounting education, examining corporate governance practices, and analyzing the implications of international accounting standards. She has contributed significantly to academic literature with numerous publications focused on these areas, highlighting the importance of study habits and performance in education.
