Biography

Audrey Laventure is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the Université de Montréal and holds the Canada Research Chair in Functional Polymer Materials. Her expertise lies at the intersection of physical chemistry and polymer materials chemistry. She completed her postdoctoral training as an NSERC Fellow at the University of Calgary and earned her Ph.D. as a Vanier Scholar at the Université de Montréal, where her excellence was recognized with the Governor General’s Academic Medal and the Best Thesis Award from the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs. Audrey is a recipient of the Emerging Materials Chemistry Award from the Chemical Institute of Canada (2024) and the Thieme Chemistry Journals Award (2025). Committed to scientific outreach and mentorship, she has participated in programs such as ‘Les chercheuses en BD’ (2023). Additionally, she has engaged in public and scientific policy, serving on the Youth Council of Canada’s Chief Science Advisor from 2020 to 2023 and participating as a delegate in the Science Meets Parliament program (2023).
