Biography

Audrey C Pendleton is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Thoracic Surgery at Columbia University Medical Center. She completed her undergraduate education at Smith College, earning a bachelor's degree in Neuroscience, and was inducted into the Sigma Xi Scientific Honors Society. Dr. Pendleton attended medical school at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, followed by a residency in Internal Medicine at New York University Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital Center. Dr. Pendleton has completed fellowships in Trauma Surgery and Critical Care at Virginia Commonwealth University and Cardiothoracic Surgery at Rush University Medical Center, where she served as Chief Fellow and received extensive training in minimally invasive thoracic surgery. She is board certified in Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Surgical Critical Care, Trauma, and Cardiothoracic Surgery. Her research expertise includes robotic thoracic surgery and surgical education. Throughout her career, Dr. Pendleton has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Teacher of the Year Award at Montefiore Medical Center and the AAST Resident Training Fellow Scholarship Award.
