Biography

Austin Roorda is a Professor in the School of Optometry and Vision Science at the University of Waterloo. He completed his PhD in Physics and Vision Science at the University of Waterloo and subsequently spent 20 years at the University of California, Berkeley. Roorda has a distinguished career focused on the design and application of advanced optical systems to investigate the structure and function of the human visual system in health and disease.
