Dr. Avanti Verma

Biography

Avanti Verma, MD, completed her undergraduate studies at Yale before earning her medical degree from New York University. Following this, she completed her residency training in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, during which she developed a strong interest in caring for patients with head and neck cancer. She was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society for her commitment to compassionate care. Subsequently, Dr. Verma completed a fellowship in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology and Microvascular Reconstruction at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Her clinical practice focuses on the surgical treatment of patients with both benign and cancerous tumors, as well as thyroid and salivary diseases. Dr. Verma employs advanced reconstruction techniques and minimally invasive robotic surgeries, emphasizing aesthetic and functional outcomes for her patients. She enjoys teaching and has previously spent a year in France, which enhanced her communication skills, crucial for her practice in surgery and patient care.
