Biography

Avery Williams joined Yale in 2024 as a member of the Integrated Interventional Radiology residency program. Raised in Arizona, she attended Arizona State University where she received concurrent degrees in Biochemistry and Anthropology. During her undergraduate studies, Avery taught high school biology while pursuing a Master’s degree in Modern Human Anatomy at the University of Colorado. She also worked as a research assistant in the Department of Anatomy at Midwestern University (AZ) for a number of years before attending the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix for medical school. As the first generation college graduate in her extended family, she feels a strong commitment to a career in medicine. Avery is drawn to Interventional Radiology due to her interest in anatomy, the broad spectrum of procedures, and the significant impact that minimally invasive procedures can have on patients.
