Dr. Aybüke Geyik

Biography

Aybüke Geyik is a PhD student in the Department of Design Studies at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She has acquired a Master’s degree from Bilkent University, where she focused on the restorative qualities of interior architecture and environmental psychology. Her academic background also includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Architecture from Bilkent University. Aybüke has spent a semester as an Erasmus student at Queen’s University in Belfast, broadening her educational experience. Her current research interests are centered on learning environments for young children, exploring how design can impact their developmental and educational experiences. With a strong foundation in environmental design, Aybüke aims to contribute to the field by integrating psychological principles into her design approaches.
