Dr. Ayman Hawari

Biography

Ayman Hawari is a Professor and the Department Head of Nuclear Engineering at Texas A&M University. He holds a Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, obtained in 1995, and has a strong background with degrees in the same field from the same institution, including M.S.E. and B.S.E. degrees awarded in 1990 and 1987, respectively. His research interests lie in Advanced Nuclear Reactors, thermal neutron scattering cross-sections data generation, and the computational experimental investigation of accident-tolerant fuels. He is dedicated to the development of modern computational methods to support the analysis of transient fuel testing experiments. Over the years, Ayman has made significant contributions to the field of nuclear engineering and has been recognized as a Fellow of the American Nuclear Society and the American Association for the Advancement of Science. He is also a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and honor societies such as Sigma Xi, Alpha Nu Sigma, and Phi Eta Sigma. His work is supported by various certifications and memberships that highlight his commitment to advancing the discipline.
