Biography

Ayoze Alfageme is a PhD candidate in Political Economy and a teaching assistant at the Department of History, Economics, and Society at the University of Geneva. He began his academic journey by obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Barcelona in 2013 and is currently finishing his master's studies in International Economics at the Berlin School of Economics and Law. Since April 2019, he has been involved as a university lecturer focused on macroeconomics and international economics. His research experience includes an internship at the Macroeconomic Policy Institute (IMK) in Düsseldorf in 2016. Alfageme is also an active contributor to the Young Scholar Initiative and serves as an organizer for the Keynesian Working Group associated with the Spanish-language political economy journal SinPermiso. His PhD dissertation investigates macrofinance and the monopolization of markets.
