Professor Naeemi received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University, Tehran, Iran in 1994, and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Georgia in 2001 and 2003, respectively. He worked as a design engineer at Partban Afratab Companies in Tehran, Iran from 1994 to 1999 before serving as a research engineer at the Microelectronics Research Center at Georgia Tech from 2004 to 2008. He joined the faculty of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at Georgia Tech in the fall of 2008. His technical research bridges materials, devices, circuits, and systems, primarily focusing on integrated circuits based on both conventional and emerging nanoscale devices and interconnects. His educational research emphasizes experiential learning environments that enhance conceptual understanding of scientific engineering topics. Naeemi serves as Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Journal of Exploratory Computational Devices and Circuits (JXCDC) and is the Associate Director of the NSF-supported National Nanotechnology Coordinated Infrastructure (NNCI).
