Dr. Azar Shahgholian

Biography

Azar Shahgholian is a Lecturer in Information Systems at the Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Manchester. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Business Management and has an academic background including a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering. His research focuses on business analytics and employs a multi-disciplinary approach to address the intersection of behavioral information systems and business operations. Azar has worked with various organizations, especially SMEs in Northwest England, utilizing machine learning techniques to solve real-world business challenges in areas like project management and customer experience management. Additionally, he has developed and delivered interdisciplinary curricula that encompass digital business and sustainability topics. Azar is actively involved in supervising PhD students and has experience teaching a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including BSc, MSc, MBA, and Executive Education, aligning his work with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
