Biography

Dr. Azita Haddadi is an Associate Professor in the College of Pharmacy and Nutrition at the University of Saskatchewan. She joined the university in July 2010 after serving as a Research Associate at the University of Alberta and as a Senior Scientist at Quest PharmaTech Inc. in Edmonton. Her research program focuses on overcoming challenges in cancer therapy, particularly in developing new biomedical and pharmaceutical nanotechnology strategies to address critical issues in cancer chemo-immunotherapy. Her research activities include formulation and characterization of polymeric nanomaterials, protein therapeutics, siRNA/oligonucleotide delivery for cancer treatment, targeted delivery systems for various pharmaceutical applications, receptor-mediated nanoparticles for vaccine delivery, and receptor-based tumor targeting for chemotherapy.
