Biography

B. Franci is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Advanced Computing Sciences at Maastricht University, where she serves as the coordinator of the GamesAI research area group. Her research focuses on topics related to game theory and general game playing. B. Franci obtained her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Pure Mathematics from the Università di Siena, Italy, in 2012 and 2014, respectively. She later completed her PhD at Politecnico di Torino and the Università di Torino, Italy, in 2018. Following her PhD, she completed a PostDoc at the Delft Center for Systems and Control in 2021. In 2017, she was awarded the Quality Award by the Academic Board of Politecnico di Torino for her PhD thesis. B. Franci's main research interests include game theory, optimization applications, and particularly, the study of Nash equilibrium problems under uncertainty, as well as their relation to the energy market and Generative Adversarial Networks.
