Biography

Bahareh Ahmadi is an adjunct faculty member at the Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph, with a multidisciplinary background in veterinary science. Her research is focused on using advanced image analysis techniques to determine the chemical and biochemical constituents in tissues. She developed a new algorithmic software named r-Algo to identify specific ranges of echointensity values that have the strongest correlation with the chemical and biochemical constituents of ultrasonographically examined tissues. Ahmadi's selected publications include research on ultrasound-based assessments of inflammatory markers in muscle tissue and the validation of r-Algo predicting meat chemical composition through ultrasound images of skeletal muscles in live animals. She participates in advancing veterinary medicine and health research to improve animal, human, and environmental health. Ahmadi is dedicated to educating new generations of health leaders and providing high-value experiential learning opportunities that address real-world challenges.
