Biography

Bahman Kashi is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Economics Department at Queen's University. He is also the founder and economist at Limestone Analytics, where he has worked as a consultant for eight years in various areas including economic impact assessment and public investment management. His work has spanned multiple countries, including Rwanda, Kenya, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Haiti, Malaysia, Canada, the United States, Cyprus, Ghana, Lesotho, Indonesia, and Switzerland. Dr. Kashi's research interests focus on applied welfare economics, energy economics, transport and telecommunication markets, engagement of the private sector in innovative finance, and the integration of environmental and social impacts into cost-benefit analysis. He has held significant positions, notably as the Research Director for USAID’s Learning, Evaluation, and Analysis Project (LEAP) III from 2018 to 2022 and as a Senior Advisor in the Economic Analysis division of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) from 2018 to 2021. He is involved in teaching courses as part of his academic role, with upcoming classes scheduled for the fall of 2025.
