Biography

Baljit Singh is a Professor in the Department of Veterinary Biomedical Sciences at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Saskatchewan. He holds a BVSc&AH and MVSc from Punjab Agricultural University, and a PhD from the University of Guelph, Canada. His post-doctoral training was conducted at Texas A&M University and Columbia University in New York. His research focuses on cell molecular biology and lung inflammation, specifically the mechanisms of neutrophil and monocyte migration in inflamed lungs, the biology of pulmonary intravascular macrophages, and environmental pulmonary toxicology. Recent projects also include a focus on nanomedicine, with significant backing from various research grants.
