Biography

Bantayehu Shiferaw Chanie is an Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Ottawa, specializing in political science with a focus on conflict, state-building, ethnic politics, political transition, democratic backsliding, and diaspora politics. Chanie holds a PhD in Political Science International Studies from Bahir Dar University, a Master of Arts in International Relations from Addis Ababa University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science International Relations.
