Biography

Baojun Li received his Ph.D. from the University of Iowa in 2004 where his research focused on 3D Nonlinear Image Registration Warping for Pulmonary CT Lung Atlas Radiation Treatment Planning. With a career that spans over 18 years at GE Healthcare's Applied Science Lab, he earned multiple GE Management Awards for significant contributions to the development of Radiographic Tomosynthesis and Dual-energy CT. Currently, he is a Research Associate Professor at Boston University's Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine in the Department of Radiology. Baojun serves as a Senior Associate Editor for the Medical Physics Journal and has acted as a manuscript reviewer for noted journals such as IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging and the American Journal of Roentgenology. He is dedicated to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in medical physics, and has mentored numerous women from underrepresented groups in the field. Baojun is also certified by the American Board of Radiology, specializing in Diagnostic Medical Physics since 2013. His extensive portfolio includes over 100 publications and 23 issued patents, with frequent national lectures on CT technology.
