Biography

Barbara Tallman is a full-time nursing instructor in the College of Nursing at the University of Manitoba, where she has worked for over five years. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, a Master's degree in Nursing with a major in Gerontology, and a PhD in Applied Health Sciences. Barbara began her nursing career as a generalist nurse in a large rural hospital on Vancouver Island, gaining experience in surgery, medicine, and postpartum care. Barbara's research interests and professional practice revolve around enhancing the quality of care and the holistic needs of individuals and families within the community.
