Professor Dr. Barbara Verfürth

Biography

Barbara Verfürth is a Professor at the Institute of Numerical Simulation at the University of Bonn. She has a robust academic background, having led a junior research group and served as a tenure-track professor at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. Her research primarily focuses on numerical methods, partial differential equations, and multiscale methods, and she has published extensively on topics such as numerical homogenization, wave propagation, and nonlinear PDEs. She completed her PhD at the University of Münster and has engaged in various research projects that address contemporary challenges in computational mathematics and numerical analysis.
