Biography

Baris Boyraz is a qualified pathologist specializing in Gynecologic Pathology and Breast Pathology. He received his MD and PhD degrees from Hacettepe University in Ankara, Turkey, in 2017. After completing his PhD studies, Dr. Boyraz spent several years as a visiting graduate student at Boston Children's Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He subsequently completed his residency in Anatomic Pathology at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), where he served as Chief Resident in his final year. Following his residency, he obtained Board Certification in Anatomic Pathology in 2022. Dr. Boyraz has held positions as a Graduate Assistant in Surgical Pathology at MGH, where he was responsible for signing out clinical cases and participated in the department's high-volume educational consultation practices. His expertise in molecular and translational pathology combined with his broad knowledge base allows him to effectively translate scientific findings into diagnostic practice. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College and serves as an Assistant Attending Pathologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.
