Biography

Bart retired as Associate Director of Facilities Campus Operations at the Australian National University in 2011. He had senior management responsibilities for campus environmental programs, contributing to the development of ANUgreen, the University’s corporate environmental program. Bart has served as Team Leader for the International Alliance of Research Universities' Sustainability Officers Group and is currently Co-chair of the Sustainable Building Design Operations working group within the International Sustainable Campuses Network. Additionally, he is the Vice President of the Tertiary Education Facilities Managers Association Australasia. Bart's academic affiliation is with the Fenner School of Environment and Society, where his research focuses on corporate environmental management, the performance of sustainably designed buildings and infrastructure, and the social learning impacts of design operations and behavioral change. He has published peer-reviewed papers and book chapters related to corporate environmental management and risk management.
