Biography

Bart van Esch is an Associate Professor in the section Power & Flow at the Department of Mechanical Engineering. His expertise lies primarily in thermal fluid engineering and energy conversion. His background includes an MSc in Astronomy from Leiden University (1990), a Master of Technological Design in Computational Mechanics from Twente University (1992), and a PhD obtained in 1997. He has been an assistant professor at TU/e since 1997. Bart has been affiliated with various scientific journals and conferences, serving on the Advisory Board of Experimental Thermal Fluid Science and as an Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Drainage and Irrigation Machinery Engineering, as well as an Associate Editor for the ASME Journal of Fluids Engineering (2012-2018).
