Biography

Barton P. Miller is the Vilas Distinguished Achievement Professor and the Amar & Balinder Sohi Professor at the Department of Computer Sciences, University of Wisconsin, Madison. He received his B.A. degree from the University of California, San Diego in 1977 and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley in 1980 and 1984, respectively. He is a distinguished fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). His research interests include binary code analysis instrumentation, distributed parallel program performance tools, software security, scalable systems, operating systems, and software testing.
