Biography

Başak Çalı is the head research Professor at the Bonavero Institute of Human Rights and holds the title of Professor of International Law. She previously served as a professor of international law and founding director of the Centre for Fundamental Rights at the Hertie School in Berlin. Additionally, she has led several high-profile research projects and is a co-founder of the European Implementation Network, advocating for the effective implementation of human rights judgments across Europe.
