Biography

Basit Zafar is an applied microeconomist whose research focuses on labor economics, education, and household finance. His work seeks to understand how individuals make decisions under uncertainty, employing a disparate set of empirical methods and techniques, including subjective expectations data and experimental data. He received his Ph.D. from Northwestern University in 2008 and his B.Sc. with Honors in Engineering Economics from the California Institute of Technology in 2003.
