Baskaran Balasingham is an Assistant Professor in the Department of International and European Law at Utrecht University School of Law. He is a member of the Utrecht Centre for Regulation and Enforcement in Europe (RENFORCE). His areas of expertise include competition law, European Union law, and World Trade Organization (WTO) law, with a primary research focus on competition law. In Spring 2016, Baskaran received the International Scholar-in-Residence scholarship from the American Bar Association, enabling him to conduct research on antitrust law at Georgetown University Law Center in Washington D.C. He is also the founder of the Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer Competition Law Moot and has held visiting researcher positions at the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition in Munich, Germany, and Hannan University in Osaka, Japan.
