Biography

Basma Majerbi is an associate professor at the Gustavson School of Business, University of Victoria, focusing on international finance and sustainable finance. Her research areas encompass impact investing and climate finance, with a commitment to integrating sustainability into core finance education. Dr. Majerbi is the founder and director of the Impact Investing Hub, an educational center dedicated to accelerating investments in climate solutions and aligning financing with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Her teaching includes Managerial Finance and International Financial Management within the MBA program, incorporating significant topics related to ESG impact investing. She has received several prestigious awards, including the MBA Professor of the Year and the BC Cleantech Educator Award. Her work with the International Monetary Fund underscores her expertise in financial development, particularly in helping developing countries with training on financial inclusion and sector issues.
