Biography

Beatrice P. Concepcion is a Professor of Medicine at the University of Chicago, specializing in transplant nephrology. Dr. Concepcion earned her medical degree in 2004 from the University of the Philippines in Manila. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Nephrology at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois, and later pursued advanced training in Transplant Nephrology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, completing her fellowship in 2011. Dr. Concepcion's research interests focus on increasing access to kidney and pancreas transplantation and improving patient-centered outcomes for kidney transplant recipients. Additionally, she is involved in various advocacy and health equity committees within her field.
