Biography

Beatrice Sanford Russell is an Associate Professor (Teaching) in the English Department at the USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences. She serves as the Director of Undergraduate Studies for English Narrative Studies. Her teaching covers a wide range of topics within narrative, poetry poetics, and British and wider Anglophone literature. Beatrice has a scholarly background in nineteenth-century British literature and is currently completing a book manuscript titled 'Romanticism Repetition, 1790–1870.' She earned her Ph.D. in English Literature from Princeton University in 2015 and her B.A. in English Literature from Stanford University in 2007. Additionally, she was a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Early Modern Studies Association at the University of Southern California from 2015 to 2017.
