Dr. Becky Ashlock

Biography

Becky Ashlock is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing, University of California, Davis. She specializes in the DNP-Nurse Anesthesia program and has a clinical focus on obstetric anesthesia, particularly caring for parturients with high-risk conditions. Her research interests center around equitable and linguistically appropriate care for parturients. Ashlock has actively presented on anesthesia care for patients with cardiovascular implantable electronic devices. Before her tenure at UC Davis, she served as an Assistant Professor at Leighton School of Nursing and worked as adjunct faculty at Samuel Merritt University, where she taught Health Informatics and guest lectured on Pharmacology. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Southern California, a Master of Science in Nursing Anesthesia from the Kaiser School of Anesthesia, and a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from California State University, Fullerton. Ashlock is currently completing her PhD in Nursing at Texas Woman's University, and is a member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) and the California Association of Nurse Anesthetists (CANA), as well as Sigma Theta Tau. Additionally, she serves as the President-Elect of the Kaiser Permanente Nurse Anesthetists Association (KPNAA).
