Biography

Becky Geyer joined the faculty of Texas A&M University in 2022 as a Professor of Practice in the Sport Management department. Her role focuses on creating and developing the Capstone Experience program, which fosters partnership opportunities to ensure hands-on learning experiences for Sport Management students. Prior to her full-time commitment to Texas A&M, Geyer had a distinguished career as a mentor, basketball coach, and leader in personal program development. She led Trinity University to the 2003 NCAA Division III National Championship as the Head Coach of Women's Basketball, holding a career record of 229-107 (.682) and breaking the school record for wins and winning percentage. She has been recognized by her peers as a two-time Molten Division III National Coach of the Year and was named the 2003 San Antonio Express-News Sportswoman of the Year. Geyer’s NCAA Championship team was inducted into the 2013 Trinity University Athletic Hall of Fame, and she earned her own induction in 2019. With extensive experience at both the high school and NCAA Division I levels, she has also served as the Head Women's Basketball Coach at Jacksonville State University and in assistant coaching roles at the University of Central Florida and the Naval Academy, in addition to a 9-year stint as a high school Athletic Director.
