Biography

Becky Ward is a Research Fellow at the University of Southampton, where she is the Research Director at the Centre for Homelessness Research Practice. Her research focuses on marginalized groups, particularly addressing homelessness and the neurodiversity of young people. Dr. Ward supervises and teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate students in Psychology, employing a Psychologically Informed approach to homelessness and educational psychology. Her teaching areas include Developmental Psychology, Educational Psychology, and ADHD, where she aims to use co-production methods to build new partnerships that share common values. Dr. Ward's efforts are geared towards engaging young people and communities that experience marginalization, such as those affected by homelessness and neurodiversity. Her current and completed projects reflect her commitment to understanding and improving the experiences of young people navigating independence from homelessness, as well as promoting research dissemination and expertise by experience.
