Biography

Bee Oo joined the Faculty as a Senior Lecturer in the Construction Management and Property program at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in February 2013. She holds a Bachelor of Building Construction Management degree from UNSW and completed her PhD studies at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. With previous experience as a quantity surveyor and estimator in construction firms located in Sydney and Singapore, her main research area focuses on construction management economics. She emphasizes competition in the construction industry and actively applies statistical techniques to model contractors’ bidding behavior, as well as experimental designs to examine the influence of bidding variables. Her research interests encompass topics such as construction contract bidding, experimental research in construction economics, construction procurement strategies, quantitative methods in construction research, women in construction, and disaster management within the built environment.
