Biography

Belay Tilahun Tadesse is a Postdoctoral researcher at the Technical University of Denmark specializing in Biotechnology. He earned his Master of Science degree focusing on the isolation and molecular characterization of lactic acid bacteria and yeasts from fermented teff at Addis Ababa University from 2014 to 2017. His Bachelor of Science degree was obtained from Gondar University, where he researched the role of Rhaminousprenoides as an antibiotic agent in coffee brewing processes. Belay has held lecturing positions at Gondar University and Wolkite University, contributing to the academic landscape in Ethiopia. His research interests include food microorganisms and their roles in safe food production, aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. He is currently involved in a project examining biofilm-forming enterococci as pathogens in food safety, which started in June 2022 and runs until October 2025.
