Dr. Ben Bollig

Biography

Ben Bollig is a leading scholar in Latin American literature and film, focusing particularly on contemporary works from Argentina. He is a Fellow Tutor in Spanish at St Catherine's College and serves as an Associate Lecturer at St John's College, University of Oxford. His research interests include the cinematic adaptation of poetry and contemporary cultural studies in the Southern Cone. He has published multiple works, including 'Moving Verses,' which explores the intersections of poetry and film in contemporary Argentine cinema. Bollig has also co-edited 'Latin American Cultural Studies: Reader' and is the editor of the 'Journal of Latin American Cultural Studies.' He is actively involved in graduate supervision for MPhil and DPhil students, guiding research in Latin American literature, film, and cultural studies. He welcomes potential graduate students to explore research opportunities in these vibrant fields.
