Biography

Ben Britton is a Professor in the Department of Materials Engineering at the University of British Columbia. His research focuses on materials characterization, metallurgy, and the micromechanical deformation of metals and ceramics. Professor Britton employs advanced characterization techniques such as electron diffraction and backscatter diffraction to gain insights into microstructure and property relationships in materials. He is internationally recognized for developing new quantitative methods in scanning electron microscopy.
