Ben Turney is an Associate Professor and Consultant Urological Surgeon at the Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences, University of Oxford. He has a strong research focus on improving the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of kidney stones. Ben trained at the University of Cambridge, where he completed his undergraduate degree, and he has undertaken both a Master’s and DPhil at the University of Oxford as part of his surgical training. Ben is an elected member of the British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS) and serves on the Section Endourology Committee. He is also a managing partner at Oxford Urology Associates and is currently focused on designing and evaluating new endourological surgical technologies, evaluating shock wave lithotripsy outcomes, and studying metabolic profiling and the epidemiology and genetics of kidney stone disease.
