Benedetta Catanzariti is a British Academy Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Edinburgh's School of Social and Political Science. Catanzariti's current project, 'Technology Translation', focuses on healthcare AI, examining the tensions between ambitions for scalable AI models and the practical experiences of clinicians and patients regarding datafication in healthcare. Her work has been recognized with awards including the Outstanding Dissertation Award from her school and the Andrew Webster PhD Prize from AsSIST-UK. She is actively involved in various research collaborations, aimed at understanding the epistemic dimensions of data and AI in relation to political economy and large computing infrastructures, and is a core member of the AI Ethics & Society network.
