Dr. Benjamin Faude

Biography

Benjamin Faude is a Lecturer in International Relations at the University of Glasgow. Prior to joining Glasgow, he worked at Newcastle University, the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and WZB Berlin Social Science Center. He has held visiting positions at the University of California at Berkeley and Vrije Universiteit Brussels and has taught at the University of Bamberg, Free University Berlin, and Charles University Prague. Benjamin holds a PhD from the University of Bamberg, Germany. His research focuses on understanding how institutional complexity affects the prospects for effective and legitimate global governance. His findings have been published in prominent international journals such as International Studies Quarterly, International Theory, Review of International Organizations, Global Policy, Ethics & International Affairs, and Global Environmental Politics. He is a member of the management board of the Global Policy North network, a consortium of scholars from various disciplines and universities addressing global governance and policy issues. In recognition of his exceptional teaching contributions and educational leadership, he received the LSE's 2020-2021 Excellence in Education Award.
