Dr. Benjamin Graham

Biography

Benjamin A.T. Graham is an Associate Professor of International Relations at the University of Southern California (USC) Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences. His research primarily focuses on the political economy of international security, with special emphasis on foreign direct investment and political risk. Graham is the coordinating principal investigator for the Everyday Respect research project, where he leads a large interdisciplinary team investigating the communication dynamics between police officers and drivers during traffic stops, utilizing a significant corpus of body-worn camera footage. He has also co-founded the Security Political Economy (SPEC) Lab, which conducts research on issues including powersharing and the role of social ties in political participation within multinational firms. His work has been published in notable journals, reflecting a commitment to understanding the implications of economic interdependence on global peace and prosperity. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego.
