Biography

Ben Henderson supervises the department’s CAS 100B sections, focusing on collaborative communication in small groups. His research interests include participatory decision-making, narrative and experiential ways of knowing, and the communication of truth. He explores the role of religion in private dialogue and public discourse, as well as how language can create division within communities. Henderson teaches several courses including collaborative communication (CAS 100B), rhetoric and civic life (CAS 137H, CAS 138T), small group communication (CAS 250), and mentoring public speaking (CAS 490).
