Biography

Dr. Benjamin G. Jastrzembski is an Associate Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology and Vision Science at UC Davis Health. He is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in the surgical and medical care of pediatric patients with vision problems. His clinical interests include the treatment of strabismus, or eye misalignment, in both children and adults. Dr. Jastrzembski's research focuses on clinical trials related to pediatric eye diseases through the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group (PEDIG), as well as addressing social inequities in pediatric eye care. His academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Latin American and Caribbean Studies from Dartmouth College and a Doctor of Medicine from Harvard Medical School. He completed his residency in Ophthalmology at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and pursued a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada. Throughout his career, he has received several awards for his contributions to the field and is committed to providing outstanding ophthalmic care to his patients.
