Dr. Benjamin Klein

Biography

Benjamin Klein received B.S.E.E. and M.S.E.E. degrees from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1994 and 1995, respectively, and a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 2000. From 2000 to 2003, Dr. Klein served as a postdoctoral fellow at the National Institute of Standards and Technology in Boulder, Colorado, where he engaged in theoretical analysis and computer simulations of next-generation semiconductor photonic devices. In 2003, he joined the faculty at Georgia Tech as an Electrical and Computer Engineering member based at the Georgia Tech-Savannah campus and later transferred to the Atlanta campus in 2012. Dr. Klein served as the School's associate chair for Graduate Affairs from January 2018 to December 2020. In January 2021, he departed Georgia Tech to become the chair of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Kennesaw State University.
