I am an Associate Professor in Statistical Data Science at Macquarie University, leading the Astrostatistics Research Group. My research focuses on extrasolar planets and their interactions with host stars, utilizing new data science approaches for detection and characterization. I am particularly excited about employing radio astronomy to study planets' magnetic interactions with their host stars and applying differentiable models in physical optics, hardware design, and data analysis for exoplanet direct imaging. My work also includes conducting surveys of naked-eye stars and analyzing data from missions such as Kepler, K2, and TESS to identify pulsating stars and transiting planets.
