Dr. Benjamin Resio

Biography

Benjamin Resio, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Yale School of Medicine specializing in thoracic surgical oncology. He is affiliated with the Center for Thoracic Cancers at Smilow Cancer Hospital and Yale Cancer Center, where he provides multidisciplinary care for patients with lung and esophageal cancer. Dr. Resio earned his medical degree with honors from Dartmouth Medical School and completed his residency at Yale New Haven Hospital. He further advanced his expertise by completing a fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. His research focus is on improving patient outcomes in thoracic surgical oncology with an emphasis on minimally invasive robotic surgery.
