Biography

Benjamin K. Sovacool works as a researcher and consultant on issues related to global energy policy, energy security, energy justice, and climate change mitigation and adaptation. His research specifically focuses on renewable energy, energy efficiency, the politics surrounding large-scale energy infrastructure, and the design of public policy to enhance energy security and access to electricity. He emphasizes the ethics and justice surrounding energy issues and aims to build adaptive capacity to address the consequences of climate change. He teaches courses such as EE 526 Global Energy Justice.
